Startup CPG Newswire:
Cactus Foods Expands Nationwide with Launch in 320+ Kroger Stores

PRESS RELEASE — NEWS PROVIDED BY Diana Gonzalez for Cactus Crunch Tortilla Chips

PASADENA, CA (APRIL 2026)Cactus Foods, the fast-growing brand behind the Cactus Crunch Sea Salt and Cactus Crunch Jalapeno tortilla chips, announced its nationwide expansion into 320+ Kroger locations, marking a major milestone in the company’s retail growth. The launch spans multiple Kroger banners, including Ralphs, Fry’s, Fred Meyer, King Soopers, and Kroger stores nationwide.

This rollout is part of Kroger’s Innovation Program, where Cactus Crunch is featured in a curated Natural & Organic endcap alongside emerging and high-growth brands. The opportunity was accelerated by the brand’s participation in the Startup CPG Denver Grocery Run, where the Cactus Foods team first connected with King Soopers, a Kroger subsidiary.

“This is a huge moment for our team. We’re growing, we’re different, and it matters because we are expanding what a tortilla chip can be,” said Diana Gonzalez, the Founder and CEO of Cactus Foods. “Kroger’s Innovation Program is designed to spotlight brands that are pushing the category forward, and we’re proud to be included. It’s an incredible opportunity to introduce Cactus Crunch to millions of new shoppers.”

Cactus Crunch reimagines the classic tortilla chip by using nopal, also known as prickly pear cactus, a sustainable ingredient with naturally high fiber content, anti-inflammatory properties, and a light texture. By swapping conventional bases for cactus, the brand aims to offer the taste of tortilla chips with functional benefits. Since its launch in 2024, Cactus Crunch has been featured in multiple national publications and was named “Best Dipper” chip by EatingWell.

The launch is further supported by KEHE, a leading natural and organic distributor, whose partnership has been instrumental in scaling Cactus Foods’ retail presence.
Shoppers can now find Cactus Crunch in the Natural & Organic snack section endcaps at participating Kroger locations.
