Our mission at Startup CPG is to elevate emerging CPG brands. Since our inception, we have been keenly attentive to the unique challenges and opportunities that small emerging CPG brands face.
Among these challenges is the cost and labor barrier to nominating products for big-name awards. Yet the recognition of a best-in-class award could be the catalyst to turn an emerging product into a moonshot. The Annual Shelfies Awards celebrate the small guys and recognize potential moonshots in our own community.

To be considered for the SHELFIES AWARDS OF STARTUP CPG’S is simple: Subscribe to our newsletter to receive updates about the Shelfies, simply fill out the form when submissions open, and send samples during your category’s respective month to the three addresses at the end of the form.
Startup CPG Microgrants pay emerging brands in our community for their nutritious food products, which are then donated to organizations in need. Startup CPG & its sponsor partners allocate a significant portion of proceeds toward our Microgrant programs. We know one of the best ways to support emerging brands is through top line revenue. The brands we support through this program often match our donations so we can maximize the amount of food we are able to donate to foodbanks, where food demand outmatches supply, nourishing people around the country.

Communities in need:
Food insecurity has been exacerbated as a result of COVID-19 or economic crisis. Finding organizations that can take direct food donations can be tricky, so we are grateful to be connected with numerous foodbanks who are part of the venerable Feeding America network.
