Startup CPG Newswire:
BEEST Snacks Featured on Good Morning America in Foodie Trends Segment

PRESS RELEASE — NEWS PROVIDED BY Lucas Prado for BEEST Snacks

AUSTIN, TX (JULY 2026)BEEST Snacks, an Austin-based high-protein snack brand, was featured on Good Morning America on July 25, 2026, in a segment covering food trends from the 2026 Summer Fancy Food Show.

The segment was presented by chef George Duran, host of the podcast “Always Hangry,” who reviewed products he identified at the show. The Summer Fancy Food Show is produced by the Specialty Food Association and was held at the Javits Center in New York. BEEST exhibited at booth 4309B. The segment is available at goodmorningamerica.com/video/135081499.

The product featured was BEEST Charcuterie Trail Mix, a 4 oz shelf-stable blend of pork jerky chips, parmesan crisps and roasted almonds containing 52g of protein and 0g added sugar per bag. BEEST also produces Beef Jerky Chips at 48g of protein per bag and Pork Jerky Chips at 46g per bag. All three are made with a patent-pending process that produces a chip-like crunch.

“Coming from a family with diabetes, the lack of healthy alternatives to chips was personal for us,” said Lucas Prado, co-founder of BEEST Snacks. “Seeing the trail mix on national television three years after we moved countries to build this was not something we planned for.”

BEEST was named a 2026 KeHE Trend Finder Golden Ticket winner in March 2026, earning fast-track access to KeHE’s 12 distribution centers, and was ranked #42 of more than 90,000 brands on RangeMe’s Top 50 Food & Beverage Brands list published in Mass Market Retailers (https://massmarketretailers.com/rangeme-top-brands-food-beverage-5/).

The company was founded by Lucas Prado and Nicole Ruiz, both industrial engineers and a couple, who moved from Bolivia to Austin, Texas in 2023. BEEST products are available at beestsnacks.com, on Amazon, and through select independent retailers in Texas and California.

About BEEST Snacks

BEEST Snacks is an Austin, Texas-based snack company founded by Lucas Prado and Nicole Ruiz, both industrial engineers and a couple who moved from Bolivia to the United States in 2023 to build the business. The company makes Charcuterie Trail Mix, Beef Jerky Chips, and Pork Jerky Chips using a patent-pending process that produces a chip-like crunch rather than the chewy texture of traditional jerky. The recipe originated in the founders’ family and was developed as part of Prado’s university thesis before being scaled commercially in South America. BEEST launched in the US market in 2025.
