Startup CPG Newswire:
Introducing BEZI: Making labneh a thing

PRESS RELEASE — NEWS PROVIDED BY Ilay Karateke for BEZI

NEW YORK, NY (2024)BEZI is thrilled to announce its retail launch in New York this September. Aimed at making labneh a thing, BEZI is bringing this versatile product out of restaurant menus and ethnic aisles and into regular grocery shopping.

Unlike traditional labneh, which is made from strained yogurt, BEZI is crafted directly from fresh milk and cream using its proprietary dairy technology. This innovative process gives BEZI a mild, non-tangy flavor and provides twice the protein of standard labneh.

In comparison to all-natural hummus, BEZI packs a similar amount of protein but with almost half the calories. With its high-protein content and unique flavor profile, BEZI is set to rival hummus as the go-to healthy snack dip.

“Labneh is still unfamiliar to many Americans, so we aimed to build awareness by connecting it with a popular high protein product—hummus,” said Ilay Karateke and Hasan Bahcivan, BEZI’s co-founders. “We also wanted to make a visual impact with a striking design that stands out from the typical beige hummus shelves.” This design-forward approach is intended to engage consumers who may be new to labneh.

BEZI is available in three delicious flavors—plain, everything, and red pepper. The plain flavor serves as a healthy alternative to cream cheese and sour cream, while all of the flavors are perfect for experimenting with a wide range of recipes.

BEZI will be making labneh a thing, starting from New York grocery stores. You can find BEZI on the shelves at Fairway, Gourmet Garage, Zabar’s, Happier Grocery, Brooklyn Fare, Big Night, and many local grocery stores throughout New York by September.
