CHICAGO, IL (JUNE 2026)Coco5, the athlete-owned hydration brand backed by NBA stars Devin Booker, Charles Barkley, Derrick Rose, and D’Angelo Russell, is continuing its national expansion with a major push into new retail partners this month. The pro-athlete-owned coconut water company is accelerating its retail expansion with new partnerships across Costco and major U.S. airports, building on a year of significant growth for the coconut water-based electrolyte beverage company.

Following several successful roadshows, the flavorful coconut water brand, will debut on Costco shelves beginning June 17 with an exclusive 18-count variety pack featuring Pineapple, Coconut, and the brand’s newly launched Grape flavor. The rollout will begin across Midwest locations, with plans to expand into additional regions later this summer.

At the same time, Coco5 is expanding into airport retail through a new initiative dubbed the “Coco5 Cup,” bringing the brand to restaurants, convenience stores, and grab-and-go locations across six World Cup host-city airports, from Kansas City to Atlanta. The partnership reflects the company’s focus on occasion-based hydration, targeting travelers seeking healthier alternatives to traditional airport beverage staples like bottled water, soda, and ginger ale. Air travel is notoriously dehydrating, yet travelers have historically had few better-for-you, functional hydration options once they pass through security. The partnership allows Coco5 to meet consumers at a moment when hydration, wellness, recovery, and travel fatigue are top of mind.

The retail expansion caps a milestone year for the brand. Earlier this year, Coco5 launched Grape, its first new flavor in fifteen years, and secured a $10 million investment led by Loop Capital to accelerate innovation, distribution, and operational growth. The company also strengthened its leadership team with seasoned executives from across the beverage, retail, and consumer packaged goods industries.
