Startup CPG Newswire:
Walmart Awards “Golden Ticket” to Chlorophyll Water at 2025 Open Call Event
PRESS RELEASE — NEWS PROVIDED BY Matt Levine for Chlorophyll Water
BROOKLYN, NY (OCTOBER 2025) — Chlorophyll Water®, the plant-powered, ultra-purified water fortified with plant-based vitamins — and the first and only bottled water brand in the U.S. to achieve the rigorous Clean Label Project Certification — has been awarded a “Golden Ticket” at Walmart’s 2025 Annual Open Call, marking a major milestone in the brand’s national retail expansion.
Walmart’s Open Call connects American entrepreneurs and emerging brands with Walmart buyers, offering shelf-ready products the opportunity to reach millions of customers through one of the world’s largest retail platforms. For the 2025 event, Walmart reported more than 12,000 applications, with 500 brands invited to pitch at its Bentonville, Arkansas headquarters — and only 100 brands receiving the coveted Golden Ticket.
“We are absolutely thrilled to receive a Golden Ticket from Walmart,” said Matt Levine, Founder of Chlorophyll Water®. “To be chosen out of thousands of applicants is an incredible validation of our mission — to deliver clean, plant-powered hydration in a category-defining way. This recognition positions Chlorophyll Water® to reach millions of Walmart customers nationwide and continue expanding our footprint.”
This recognition follows Chlorophyll Water® being named an “Emerging Brand of the Year” Finalist by the California Grocers Association, a “Top 10 Ones to Watch” Finalist by The Beverage Forum, and featured on the cover of Beverage Industry Magazine, where it was celebrated as “Nature’s Green Magic.”
The Golden Ticket also comes on the heels of Chlorophyll Water® earning its third consecutive Clean Label Project Certification — solidifying its position as the first and only bottled water in the U.S. to ever pass the certification, now achieving this distinction three years in a row.
The Clean Label Project, an independent third-party organization, tests for more than 90 environmental toxins, including heavy metals, plasticizers, pesticide residues, and harmful chemicals, ensuring transparency and safety from source to shelf.
Recognized by the Green Business Bureau as “Good for the Mind, the Body, and the Planet,” and highlighted by SupplySide Food and Beverage Journal for “redefining sustainable packaging” and “solving the sustainable packaging puzzle,” Chlorophyll Water® will debut its new 16 oz “Chlorophyll in a Can” — complementing its existing 16.9 oz and 1 Liter bottles, already available nationwide at Erewhon, Pavilions, Sprouts, Whole Foods (NE), Wegmans, and other leading retailers nationwide.
Chlorophyll Water® is also set to launch at Walmart in April 2026.
