Startup CPG Newswire:
ORCHA Rebrands from Birdie, Reveals Mango Green Tea, and Expands to 30+ Los Angeles Retail Locations
PRESS RELEASE — NEWS PROVIDED BY Josh Lee for ORCHA
LOS ANGELES, CA (JULY 2026) — ORCHA, the Los Angeles-based sparkling tea company launched in 2025 under the Birdie name, has unveiled its new brand identity and revealed Mango Green Tea as its upcoming third flavor while continuing to expand its Southern California retail footprint.
The ORCHA name combines “orchard” with “cha,” meaning tea, and also references the phrase “water, coffee, soda, or… cha.” The new identity reflects the company’s goal of making sparkling tea an everyday beverage choice alongside water, coffee, and soda.
As part of the transition, ORCHA reformulated its beverages from tea extract to real brewed tea following consumer feedback. The change was made to create a more pronounced tea flavor while maintaining light carbonation, real fruit juice, electrolytes, B vitamins, and 2 grams of added sugar per can. Apple Jasmine and Peach Oolong are currently available, and Mango Green Tea has been revealed as the company’s upcoming third flavor.
Since its initial Los Angeles launch in September 2025, the company has secured placement in more than 30 retail locations across independent grocery stores, specialty retailers, cafés, restaurants, and wellness-oriented accounts. The company also sponsored the 2026 JM Eagle LA Championship, an LPGA Tour event.
“Tea has long been associated with wellness, but we saw an opportunity to make it more relevant to how people drink today,” said Josh Lee, co-founder and co-CEO of ORCHA. “We listened closely to customer feedback and moved from tea extract to real brewed tea to deliver a fuller, more tea-forward taste. The transition from Birdie to ORCHA gives us a clearer platform to build a broader sparkling tea portfolio around everyday wellness, moderate caffeine, and lower added sugar.”
ORCHA is preparing for additional retail, foodservice, and wholesale expansion across Southern California while developing the distribution and logistics infrastructure needed to support future regional growth.
Apple Jasmine and Peach Oolong are available at select Los Angeles-area retailers and online at drinkorchatea.com. Mango Green Tea availability will be announced separately.
