Startup CPG Newswire:
Nature’s Wild Berry Enters Foodservice Distribution Through US Foods Direct

PRESS RELEASE — NEWS PROVIDED BY Hank Watt for Nature’s Wild Berry

SANTA MONICA, CA (AUGUST 2026)Nature’s Wild Berry, a freeze-dried miracle berry brand, has entered foodservice distribution through US Foods Direct, the dropship marketplace operated by US Foods.

Two items are approved and orderable by eligible US Foods customers. The single Travel Jar is US Foods Approved Product Number 1170772. The case of four is 1170767. Operators can search either number within US Foods Direct or request the product through a US Foods representative.

Miracle berries contain miraculin, a protein that binds to sweet receptors on the tongue. While bound, sour foods register as sweet. The effect is temporary and diminishes on its own. Nothing is added to the food itself.

The distribution gain gives foodservice operators a route to order the product through existing purchasing workflows. The company reports early interest from tasting menus and zero-proof beverage programs, hotel and catering operations, healthcare and senior living kitchens addressing palatability, plus university dining programs.

“We have spent ten years handing people a berry and watching their face change,” said Hank Watt, founder of Nature’s Wild Berry. “What has changed is who is asking for it. Chefs and operators do not want a novelty, they want something that solves a problem on the menu. Being on US Foods Direct means a kitchen can order it the same way they order everything else.”

The Travel Jar contains approximately 30 servings of whole freeze-dried miracle berry halves. The product is shelf stable at ambient temperature, contains no allergens, and jars currently shipping carry a best by date of March 2035. The company moved the product to plastic-free packaging in 2026.

Nature’s Wild Berry appeared on Shark Tank in season 14. The episode continues to re-air on CNBC and stream on Hulu and Disney+.

The company marks ten years of operation in 2026. Additional pack sizes for higher-volume foodservice operators are in development.

Ordering information for US Foods customers is available at natureswildberry.com/pages/usfoods.

About Nature’s Wild Berry

Nature’s Wild Berry sells whole freeze-dried miracle berry halves that temporarily make sour foods taste sweet. The berry contains miraculin, a protein that binds to sweet receptors on the tongue, causing sour flavors to register as sweet for up to about an hour.

Founded in 2016 and based in Santa Monica, California, the company sells direct to consumers, through retail and wholesale channels, and through foodservice distribution. Co-founders Hank Watt and Juliano Bonanni appeared on Shark Tank in season 14.

The product is sold as whole berry halves rather than tablets or powder, is shelf stable at ambient temperature and contains no allergens.
